Bio

My name is Beth Mishkind Roth, I am the owner/therapist of Cleveland Integrative Counseling, a child and adolescent counseling practice with locations in Beachwood and Kirtland Ohio.

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker/therapist and have been practicing in the field of mental health for the last decade. My background has been heavily focused on working with the families of individuals on the autism spectrum, providing assessment, psycho-education, resource referral/continuity of care, and counseling. I opened Cleveland Integrative Counseling in 2018.

My private practice focuses on anxiety, depression, OCD, self-esteem enhancement, phobias, and parent-child interaction/skill development. I also have an area of expertise working with the siblings of children with ASD, special healthcare needs, developmental disabilities, and significant mental illness.

I work from a very whole-brained perspective when it comes to addressing the psychological needs of children and adolescents. I focus heavily on mindfulness-based cognition and the development of coping skills to empower and balance my patients.

I am also one of two providers in Ohio that offer the SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) protocol. SPACE is a parent-based treatment, developed out of Yale, which targets childhood/adolescent anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder, that has been found to be as efficacious as individual cognitive-behavioral therapy. This novel, manualized parent-based intervention, is especially beneficial for the parents of children/adolescents who are reluctant to engage in and/or declined therapy. Studies have shown significant improvement in the child’s symptoms and motivation for individual treatment by teaching their parents new ways of responding to it.
