Megan Bickett is a licensed professional counselor. Megan earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University and is currently pursuing her independent license. Prior to counseling, Megan was a middle school teacher with experience teaching students in grades 3-8 of varying abilities and backgrounds.Megan has experience in community mental health, school-based counseling, and private practice, working with clients from age 3 through adulthood. Megan meets her clients where they are and works with them to develop goals for counseling. She believes that the key to success in counseling is through building rapport with clients and helping to create a safe space for them to share and feel comfortable being themselves. She uses a variety of creative techniques based on client’s interests and needs.Through both her teaching and counseling experiences, Megan has worked with individuals with a variety of needs including ADHD, learning disabilities, trauma, adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.When Megan is not counseling, she enjoys baking, spending time outdoors, reading, going to the theater, and yoga.
