Monica Yost Kiss is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S) in the State of Ohio with 12+ years of clinical experience working with adults, children, and families in a variety of settings. Monica specializes in mental health counseling and advocacy services for those who have experienced interpersonal trauma including childhood abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault. She works with clients to help them manage relationship problems, life transitions, traumatic events, as well as mental health disorders including Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, and Personality Disorders. She has received clinical training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Monica is often described as very “real” and genuine as she uses candor and humor to help clients feel comfortable and engaged in the therapeutic process. She utilizes a direct yet compassionate approach to empower others to identify their strengths, needs, and goals to improve their quality of life.
Monica embraces diversity in her practice and works with people of various ages, races, ethnicities, genders and sexual orientations who are seeking therapy services. She is able meet with youth, adults, and families. She currently works part-time and available for weekday evening appointments to help accommodate clients’ schedules.
